Life on Mars & Primeval

Postby Bexter » Sun Nov 11, 2007 8:24 am

Now as someone had mentiond Red Dwarf and its British I was wondering if any of you had seen either of the BBC's lates Sci-Fi offerings in 'Primeval' and 'Life on Mars'

I must say I just loved both of them, especially Life on Mars about a cop you gets hit by a car and wakes up in 1974 and he feels like he's on a different planet, hence life on mars.

Am looking forward to series 2 of both of them.

I don't get to watch much TV, but that sounds rather intriguing- I'll have to look that one up. :)

Sounds interesting, wonder if it's hit the U.S. yet. I have the worst timing about catching most shows now-a-days.

It does sound interesting. Knowing Beatrice though, they won't get it here for about 4 years. :-( Like the Buck Rogers DVD set.

Yes Erin, so do I and i almost missed life on mars but it had a write up in the saturday tv magazine so i actually went out of my way to watch it. Primeval was on at 7.30 on a saturday and it was about dinosours slipping through a time-portal into real time. I didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of missing that one with an 6 year old ADHD dinosour expert (and I mean she is an EXPERT) in the house.

ADHD is attention defecit hyperactivity disorder. She is incredibly bright, has the attention span of a pea, and never stops moving, also is particularly interested in certain things and knows alot about them, in this case dinosours. She also has a very short fuze. I do need to get her more thoroughly checked out as we are beginning to suspect her ADHD is actually mild aspergers which is a form of higher functioning autism. In a nutshell, she's a handful (wouldn't swap her for the world though) about a year or so ago she was having an 'episode' at the neighbours and the neighbour went "I'm glad she's yours' (it was not said offensively at all) and I just looked at her going off and said "Yeah!! I'm glad she's mine too"

I've never known any one with that but I have been friends with people that have ADD. Personally I wouldn't know they were different from any one else. The only reason I knew with these people is because they told me.

Thought i'd posted a reply but guess it didn't work. I guess you wouldn't know if adult friends have ADD, but they would, makes it extremely difficult to focus on things and complete them. They tend to flit from one thing to another with finishing them. if you look it up (I think AADD) Adult Attiontion Deficit Disorder, it would prob have a list of symptoms and I bet you'd read it and think "Yeah, thats just like (friend)"

I watched a movie a few days ago by the name of "Primeval" But sadly to say, it was about a giant crocodile. It reminded me to much of "Lake Placid" and "Crocodile"

Could that part 1 to your movie you are talking about?

The one you're talking about sounds a lot more interesting than the one I saw. I for one, loves dinosaurs.

I'll do that here shortly. I'm glad to hear it has nothing to do with the movie I saw. :-)

Yeahhh, congratulations on making Captain. :-)

looked at both links you put up.

The first one relied on flash graphics and programming to work so with my hot internet connection that didn't go over very well [depri] . I don't think I really viewed it how fast it was meant to be. Plus some pages didn't seem to open up for me. ...A time traveler named Sam, if the show's writers got that idea where it looks like in my opinion, that's a hoot  .

The other link wouldn't connect and said offline [depri] . I'll try back at it later.
