26th Century Tangata manu

Postby systemcat » Fri Jun 01, 2007 6:40 pm

About the season finally that's already half way posted. In the story and much better noted in 21 I mention the Tangata manu buildings being built in an odd fashion. The basic idea comes from a real eagle's nest I saw years ago in Florida. Giant and deep: that's why the buildings move downwards the way they do. Also the changing head feathers idea comes from graylady's stories. Koori's ship that I asked for a design idea for in Highstone, I've come up with a design that I really want to show in the gallery at some point. Those pictures of the unknown eagle and it's talons look 99% like how they're meant to look.

I've never seen an eagle's nest, but it seems quite appropriate as a source of inspiration.

Looking forward to the ship's design!

They have an imitation of an Eagles nest at the local zoo in Lincoln, Ne. It's very large and deep.

In 21 you'll get to read a description of a smaller ship that uses a little of the design meant for Koori's ship.
