Ah I just realized, ERin, You already have a pretty good address. Is it
http://www.buckrogers26thcentury.com/
you want me to use?

If so, are you planning to update the layout a bit?
Maybe use a table and just add a few minor touches with font colors and so on ?
The title and background are cool. But in my opinion, others may disagree,
it could look a lot more professional with a few minor adjustments

I'm creating a mockup using the title sequence :)

need assistance converting!

Postby jassian » Tue Mar 03, 2009 3:49 pm

Starfest wants a DVD (NTCS obviously), by the 13th

To avoid delays by me mailing a DVD from Australia and
using a conversion program I am completely unfamiliar with
to export NTSC - we're using PAL in Australia (not to mention that my DVD drive is currently hickuping on me! [burnout] )

Can anyone burn an AVI file to DVD on their computer if I send it to them?
:D

Felt it was more fitting to the Fan Fiction of the 26th Century page than the Extra Media page. What jassian has given me so far has been posted to that page :). The screen size has been greatly reduced for the slake of internet video file size but the DVD for Starfest will still be shown in it's original aspect ratio.

Enjoy :glasses7:.

I haven't watched the videos yet, because I assume that they are the same ones that Jassian posted on this thread (if not, then I'm very mistaken). Anyways, do those videos have the new theme music on them, or is that coming up?

It's new music non-copyrighted ..at least at the moment. She has sent me more clips but since they don't flow into each other fully yet I'd rather not post them until I have the missing parts and that means when I compile the videos into being one.

Another clip has been added. At first I thought it was a replacement to clip 3 but it's an extension from the scene before it (3)(3a).

I've put a small full version on the page
http://jassian.com/Buck%20Rogers/
called Buck Rogers 26th 320x240.wmv

For you Ohboy and some others that will mean right click and 'save as'.
Business as usual :)

This is the final edit, so it will be slightly different to what you've seen.

We have full rights by the music composer, he was very keen and
happy to let us use his music and wrote a few bits specifically for us. :)
I'll just ask him to sign a piece of paper for further reference and I'll send a copy to you Erin :)

Great job, Jassian. I thought the music was very fitting, and it had a rather eerie futuristic tone to it that went very well with the overall theme.

Same thoughts as ohboy over the music :). Um bad news to break to you guys, Jess already caught this in a PM over in Al's.

While I have every part now for some reason the first clip to have live action has no sound. In the PM I requested a second copy of the soundless clip, the new one hopefully without the glitch. On the plus side the lady at Starfest involved with this area of the convention has approved it's showing. Good luck jassian :D.

wheeeeh! [tanz] great! Thanks Erin!!

Concerning the site. Would it be possible to tidy the text up a bit ?
it's really hard to read and frankly it looks a little 'messy'.

I have a theme that runs through the whole site for it's appearance and except for the moving star field I coded every thing. Best I could think to do to keep your part in theme with the rest of the site was enclose your text within a black background table. Better :)?
