Shelter Life For All?

I have to ask this question after some thing told to me back in May that I find hard to believe. A lady I was working with at a little BS job said that at some point "every one has lived in a shelter". If that were true ...well my first note in this topic states my thoughts on that. What do you guys have to say on her comment?

Did she mean that literally, or was that a philsophical question?

I think she meant literally. I think it was her way to shut me up about what troubles I have going on. But still ...?

Literally, I would think that is false. From a more abstract viewpoint, I still would still disagree. We don't all live in a shelter. Some children have to grow up in very poor environments, and don't get a protection net that I assume she means by a "shelter".
